Your First Visit at Sutanto Chiropractic

On your first visit, you will be asked to complete basic medical history paperwork. The doctor will review your paperwork and ask you some questions regarding your specific problem area.

The doctor, then, will take the necessary x-rays and during the report, he will explain them to you visually.

After the exam, a report of findings will be arranged where the doctor will go over the cause of your health problems and the best possible treatment for the correction and maintenance.

If you decide to follow the doctor’s recommendations, you will receive your first treatment. The doctor must first deal with your immediate pain and discomfort. That is our treatment goal –to help with your pain and discomfort.

By utilizing physiotherapy and physical therapies, such as moist heat, cold pack, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, light therapy and non-needle acupuncture (not to be confused with acupressure), your pain and inflammation can be minimized, allowing the doctor to deliver the corrective adjustment with minimal force and greater comfort.

As the pain and inflammation subside, specific stretches and exercises will be recommended, which will increase muscle mobility and strength. This will provide long lasting effect and reduce the possibility of reoccurrence of the pain. In his 21 years of practice, Dr. Sutanto has found these therapies are vital complements to the chiropractic adjustment.
